If wife goes for divorce under grounds of desertion

Is husband considered criminal if wife obtains divorce under grounds of desertion ? or is it just a ground to obtain a divorce ? What if wife gets remarried after obtaining divorce decree after 90 days ? Is husband still held liable for deserting her ?

Is husband considered criminal if wife obtains divorce under grounds of desertion ?

>> Desertion is difficult to prove.... if husband contest the case properly

>> Husband wont be consider criminal, Above case itself is a civil case.

is it just a ground to obtain a divorce ?

>> Yes, It is just a one of ground for a party to get divorce decree and dissolve the marriage.

What if wife gets remarried after obtaining divorce decree after 90 days ?

>> After obtaining divorce decree, Wife/Husband can remarry on even a day of receiving Divorce Decree, There is no bar to wait for 90 days. 90 days is the waiting period for remarriage, if Divorce Decree is Ex-Party Divorce Decree ( Husband doesn’t contest the case, Wife will get Ex-Party Divorce)

Is husband still held liable for deserting her ?
