Is divorce obtained in usa valid in india?

Does getting divorcing in the USA will be valid in India? My Marriage happened in India according to the Hindu marriage act. will it be contested in Indian court as we are Indian citizens? Is divorce obtained in USA valid in India? My husband filed a divorce case in India. Do I need to still fight the case in India?

Divorce in America s certified copies to be submitted in court.

Hello All,

The case is in US court and will probably get the final decree in 2 months. my question is will the divorce decree obtained from us court gets recognized in an Indian court?
