member of society has a unregistered flat(resale)(stamp duty paid) since 1995.He has not changed the name in share certificate.
Now he is asking to change his name in share certificate
1.can we put his name in share certificate
2.if yes then what should we fill in date of transfer

A Member cannot claim title to the property based on on an unregistered sale deed, hence the soceity cannot entertain the name change applicaiton to change the name in the share certificate from the original share holder to the present one, you may ask him to produce the proof of his ownership with clear and marketable title document i.e., a reigsterd sale deed on his name otherwise you cannot oblige to his request for whatever reason
