Maternity leave in private sector

I am working in a private pharma company (MNC) chennai.Currenly i am on maternity leave and company granted me 84 days leave.I want to know how many days leave i can get as per current rule.

Please advise

As per Maternity Benefits Act that you can download from the thread mentioned above( and other threads mentioned in it)company has provided you the leave.

 

To provide more than the leave stipulated in the Act or not is discretion of the employer.

 

The rate of the maternity benefit is also defined in the Act and company can not  provide less than that.

 

The maternity benefit of prior to pregnancy delivery has to be provided in advance upon receiving information of pregnancy from employee and post delivery  upon receiving information that employee has delivered a child.

Company has given you leave right as per law.
