Procedure deposit rent in court

My family is residing in a rented apartment since 1947 in Mumbai, till date the rent is Rs 50.

The Landlord is not giving receipts for the rent paid since 3 years. I am afraid that she might put a case for eviction for not paying rent.

I have also tried to send the rent via Registered Post by cheque and a written letter , However she has only accepted it once and all other letters have been returned as not received.

So i wanted to know the procedure to deposit rent in Court. Along with the possible cost it may incur.

Please help

You need to engage a lawyer. Rent is deposited in the court incase of proceedings initiated.

do you have the rent agreement??
