Redevelopment of Pagdi chawl

Hi,

My grandmother chawl in Goregaon Mumbai is going for redevelopment.builder is giving flat of 230sq.ft area against the existing 180sqft chawl room.i have read that tenants are eligible for minimum 300sqft.5 years ago builder took sign on paper stating that tenants will get 230sqft area flat.Also they have not considered balcony area of existing chawl room. can we challenge him for area of 300sq.ft? he has not yet done the agreement with tenants.

Local laws / practice / mutual ageement govern the subject matter.

It is better to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for proper appreciation of facts, professional advise and necessary proceeding.
