Renewal of passport for divorced lady

Respected sir/madam,

my cousin is a divorcee who got her divorce in Jul 2010. Her passport expired in Apr 2011. He ex-husband and his parents refused to give her any documents/ certificates of hers (school certificate, birth certificate etc) and are very hostile to her. Now she has come to stay with us in a different city. Her passport has her ex-husband's name etc endorsed and her pan card also has those details. My question is, that is it possible to renew her passport? She doesnt have any document to support her present address or educational qualification. She has a copy of the divorce decree and her pan card. Please help as she has been traumatised since last two years and we want to help her.

Best Regards.

@subash

It's very difficult to renew without the original documents.

for reissue these are the documents requireed along with application:

1. Old Passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages, including ECR/Non-ECR page (previously ECNR) and the page of observation (if any), made by Passport Issuing Authority

2.Proof of present address: any one of the following:

a)last one year bank statement with the present address

b)the income tax assessment order

c) election id

d) proof of gas connection

the above documents are required if the reissue application is made within 3years from the date of expiry of passport.

The other option is that she can always apply for duplicate certificates or documents from the respective authority.
