Respected Sir,

A PERSON ( X) HAS GIVEN A STATEMENT ON A WHITE PAPER ,STATING THAT CERTAIN AGRICULTURAL LAND DOESN'T BELONG TO HIM AND AS HE IS VERY OLD ,HE HAS PUT A LEFT  THUMB IMPRESSION IN THE STATEMENT INSTEAD OF SIGNATURE .AFTER SOME DAYS THE PERSON ( X) DIED.

LATER  THE SON OF DEAD PERON ( X ) CAME AND SAID THAT THAT CERTAIN AGRICULTURAL LAND BELONGS TO HIM.

NOW CAN I PRODUCE THE STATEMENT OF X PERSON IN THE COURT.HOW FAR THE STATEMENT IS USEFUL IN THE COURT.

this kind of statements doesn't have any evidentiary value unless proved to be true upto the satisfaction of court. moreover if you produce it before the court, the onus of proof may shift towards you regarding the authenticity of that document. it can be proved with the help of primary or secondary evidence in support thereof.
