Tenant is having a electricity meter and he is supplying electricity to other tenants with that meter only. is there any legal prosicution?

A tenant in our property is having an electricity meter in his name and by undue advantage without taking our permission he has given connections to other tenants too.

He is charging good amount of money from them and has started his business kind of thing with this.

Currently, he is not residing in our property and has locked his house, the keys are with him and he is residing somewhere else in our locality but continues the same.

Note: The tenants are more than 30 years old .

I endorse the opinion and advise experts Sh. Kavksatyanaryana and Sh. Bhartesh Goyal. The demised premises is stated to be lying vacant and tenant is supplying electricity to unauthorised persons, it is a valid ground for eviction. File a suit for eviction of tenant, and arrears of rent / damages / mesne profits and disconnection of unauthorised electricity through a local prudent lawyer.

Immediately eviction notice to be given to the tenant for illegal electricity connection activity. Otherwise electricity department will impose huge penalties on owner of the property.

Explore the possibility of getting power disconnected, stating that no one is residing in the house and there is a possibility of current shorts due to rats etc, if the meter is in name of landlord.
