Its thirty days, priovided that the State Commission may entertain an appeal after the expiry period of thirty days if it is satisfied that there was sufficient cause for not filing it within that period.

Advocate Bhartesh goyal (advocate)     25 July 2012

30 days time  limit is fixed to file Appeal against  the order of district consumer forum  but if sufficient cause is shown then the appeal may be filed  after expiry of 30 days alongwith the application u/s 5 of limitation act.

30 days from date of order or from date of receipt of order by opposite party? As it is ex parte order.

mandatorily appeal to be fled within 30 days however at the discretion of the state forum , extension of time can be granted on valid grounds/reasons
