Unequal distribution of property by grandfather

My father passed away 13 years ago and my grandfather didn't give my dad's shop to us . But he looked after us till today. Now there's an issue about division of our joint family house 80*40 site for which my dad had contributed financially. My grandfather isn't giving me a share in it. Can i claim it legally.

on whose name is the plot you are talking about is registered.if its a self aquired property of your grandfather and if your dad had contributed money to build the house that wont make you eligible to claim share in it.

You have posted that:

If the shop is registered in your father's name then you can stake claim to it.

--"Now there's an issue about division of our joint family house 80*40 site"

If the shop is registered in joint names including your father, then you can stake claim to it.

If everything is on your grandfather's name then thank him for raising you and make up with him so that he by his sweet WILL gives you a share in his life time or does not give it away to anyone excluding you or does not leave a WILL excluding you......................
