A child becomes adult on completion of 18 years of age. PAN number will continue to be same after being adult.

The assessee can file a Form 49A for correction in data and foward the same to the Income Tax Deptt to get the signature corrected with a fresh photo of the assessee. A fresh card will be issued. However note that the old PAN number continues and holds good for future filings. No new number is allotted to the assessee.
