Is it like Tamil Era or Malabar Era?
Swami Sadashiva Brahmendra Sar (Nil) 28 December 2010
It is used in current era, at least by U.P. Government.
May be prevalent in other northern states also, though I have to verify.
It is agricultural year (Fasli varsh). Revenue records of farmers are maintained according to this caledar.
