Ajmal Amir Kasab Trial: Kasab was shown to witness before de

Defence counsel Abbas Kazmi, representing lone arrested Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab in the 26/11 attacks case, said Kasab was shown to a witness Nafisa Qureshi before she deposed in the court today.

Following an application moved in this regard by Advocate Kazmi, Judge Tahilyani inquired Kasab of this and he said in the morning when he was being brought from his cell to the court, a lady accompanied by police personnel was looking at him.

Advocate Kazmi has stated in his application that police was resorting to wrong practice by showing Kasab to the witnesses before their deposition in the court so that they could easily identify him, when the court asked.

During cross examination by Advocate Kazmi, Ms Qureshi admitted that before her deposition in the court she was sitting with a police personed in a canteen adjacent to the court building.

Later, talking to media persons, Advocate Kazmi said Ms Qureshi was sitting with the police in the same building, where Kasab was lodged, before her testimony.
