SC stays postings of 30 Judges of Punjab district courts

The Supreme Court stayed till further orders the postings of 30 judges of Punjab subordinate courts due to bungling in marking of the answer sheets. Additional Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium told a bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justices P Sathasivam and J M Panchal that a three-judge committee of the High Court by a majority decision has found that the selection of the candidates do not inspire confidence. One canditate has got 36 marks while another has got zero for an identical answer.
