Violation of Labour Laws in Arunachal Pradesh

Border Road Organisation (BRO) abides by all Labour Welfare Laws.  However, recently a joint team of officers of Chief Labour Commissioner (Guwahati Region), EPFO & ESI inspected the establishment of 42, Border Roads Task Force, Sapper and 763 Border Roads Task Force, Tawang from 22.10.2018 to 26.10.2018 and made some observations regarding violations relating to Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, Maternity Benefit Act 1961, Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 and Building & Other Construction Workers Act (BOCW), 1996.

The observations related to Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 and Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 are only regarding maintenance of register / records. A report on these observations has been sought by Directorate GBR from the concerned Task Force.
