Bombay high court gets a new CJI!

Justice Bhushan Pradyumna Dharmadhikari, who is presently serving as Acting Chief Justice of Bombay HC, and was previously a Judge of the Bombay High Court, has been appointed as the Chief Justice of that High Court and is due to retire on April 27. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his elevation vide resolution dated February 24.

Who is Justice Dharmadhikari?

Justice Dharmadhikari obtained his law degree from the Rashtra Sant TukdojiMaharaj University, in the year 1980.He practised law in Nagpur after enrolment is Bar Council of Maharashtra on 17 October 1980. He became City Civil Judge for many Government Corporations. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Bombay High Court on 15 March 2004. After this he elevated as Permanent Judge on 12 March 2006.
