Indians Stranded Abroad to be evacuated in a phased manner from 7th May, says Center.
The Ministry of Home Affairs have issued a press report to announce that Indians Stranded abroad will be brought back from 7th May in a phased manner. The Standard Operating Protocol has been made to make this effective.
Non-schedule commercial flights will be made available on payment basis. The passengers will be subjected to a medical screening before the flight and only the asymptomatic passengers will be allowed. They will have to follow the necessary protocols.
After arriving to India, they will need to register themselves on the ArogyaSetu Application. They will be medically screened, after which they’ll be quarantined for 14 days. They will only be released after the COVID test.
The State Government will have to make necessary arrangements to quarantine such people, to manage their testing, and their further movements to their respective states.
