Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) Taking a strong note of illegal constructions in and around the famous Dal Lake despite court orders, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the administrations to hold inquiry and fix the responsibility. A division bench comprising Justices Nissar Ahmad Kakroo and Hakeem Imtiyaz wanted to know from the Divisional Administration as to how the people come up with illegal constructions in prohibited areas of the lake. The Bench directed the administration to conduct an inquiry against the officers who had allowed the illegal constructions in violation of court orders. Justice Kakroo and Justice Hussain said the inquiry officer has to fix the responsibility and name the officers with designation who allowed construction in the area despite Court directions prohibhiting the same. They also asked the divisional commissioner to examine the circumstances under which the constructions have come up in the area when the government was claiming total compliance of the Court orders.
