Seven new judges in Delhi High Court Seven judges have been sworn in as Delhi High Court judges on Friday, taking their total strength to 40 while the new Chief Justice will be appointed after the elevation of former Chief Justice M K Sharma to the Supreme Court. Those administered the oath of office included five lawyers from the Bar while two were trial court judges. Acting Chief Justice (Designate) Justice T S Thakur administered the oath of office to the new judges. Among the lawyers J R Midha, V K Shali, Rajiv Shahi Endlaw, Manmohan Singh and Rajiv Shakdher were elevated to the Bench. M C Garg and Sunil Gaur were the trial court judges who took the oath of office. The new Chief Justice for the court is still to be appointed by the President following the elevation of former Chief Justice M K Sharma to the Supreme Court.
