The Supreme Court directed state of Madhya Pradesh to allot 42 per cent seats in admissions to undergraduate medical science courses to private unaided institutions in the state.



A vacation bench comprising Justices Markandey Katju and Deepak Verma also directed that 43 per cent seats will go to Government Medical Colleges in Madhya Pradesh while 15 per cent seats will be reserved for NRI students.



The direction was issued on a petition filed by Association of Medical Colleges of Madhya Pradesh.



The courses also include BDS courses.
