Prime Minister Manmohan Singh addressed a rally in Kohima in Nagaland on Wednesday where he called on the people for a change as State Legislative Assembly election campaigning gets underway in North-east. Election preparations are on in Nagaland which goes to poll on 5th March. Presiding and polling officers were given training in Kohima. A mock election exercise is also being conducted to familiarize the officers with EVMs. Campaigning picking up in Meghalaya Meghalaya will go for polls on 3rd March and the state has a total of 60 constituencies. One of the premier constituency is Nongpoh. Chief minister DD Lapang is contesting from there. In Meghalaya, a total of 12,32,907 voters will exercise their franchise on March 3 Assembly Elections. Out of the total electorate, 6,26,711 are women who will play a deciding role in this poll.
