The Rajasthan government will soon set up a regulatory board to decide the fee structure for private schools and colleges and to formulate standards for these institutions, Minister of state for technical education, Vasudev Devnani said. The regulatory board would start functioning from next session and would have power to oversee the functioning of the institutions, Devnani said. He said 21 applications of private universities were under consideration with the government. The government has also decided to regularise the services of college and university lecturers who have been working on temporary basis. Devnani gave an assurance that all possible measures would be taken for the development of higher education in the state.
