Kochi: Kerala High Court Chief Justice S.R. Bannurmath who retired on Friday was given a send off at a full court reference at the High Court.
Justice Kurian Joseph, Advocate-General C.P. Sudhakara Prasad, and Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association president V.V. Sidharthan spoke. The retiring Chief Justice also spoke.
In a letter to the Chief Justice, former Supreme Court
judge V.R. Krishna Iyer said “his departure leaves a
void in the judiciary of Kerala because it is difficult to
find a man of his humility, erudition, compassion and
gentlemanliness.” He said that Mr. Bannurmath was
a great judge.
