105th Constitutional Amendment Act Deemed To Be In Force From 15th August 2021
According to a recent notification from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Constitution (One Hundred and Fifth Amendment) Act, 2021 came into force on 15th August, 2021. The 105th Amendment Act restores the power of the State Governments and Union Territories to identify and specify the Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBCs).

Aryan Khan Remanded To One Day NCB Custody In Cruise Ship Drug Case
Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan has been remanded to one day NCB custody. He has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with the seizure of banned drugs on a cruise off the Mumbai coast.A total of 8 persons, including Khan, were detained after the raids.

Minimum Wage Notification Not An Absolute Yardstick To Fix Income Of Deceased In Absence Of Salary Certificate
The case was of Chandra @ Chanda v.Mukesh Kumar Yadav and Ors. The decision was given by Justice Subhash Reddy and Justice Hrishikesh Roy. The plea sought enhancement of compensation filed by parents of the deceased who died in a motor vehicle road accident.Merely because the claimants were unable to produce documentary evidence to show the monthly income of the deceased, the same does not justify adoption of the lowest tier of minimum wage while computing the income.
