HC grants permission to Salman for foreign visits Jodhpur, Apr 21 The Rajasthan High Court has granted permission to actor Salman Khan for foreign visits while his appeal against conviction in a poaching case is presently pending before the court. Salman's counsel Hasti Mal Saraswat had moved an application before Justice HR Panwar seeking permission for the actor for visiting London between April 23 and 28 to participate in Zee Cine Award function and Australia between April 30 and June 5 for shooting of a film ''Mein aur Mrs Khanna''. The Judge granted the permission with a rider that he would appear in the court, if needed. While Salman had filed an appeal against his conviction in two poaching cases in the Mathania area of the district, the state government had filed an appeal for enhancement of senstence in cases. In one poaching case of two deers in the Bhawad area, the actor was awarded a five-year jail term and fine of a Rs 25000 while in another case of killing one deer in the Ghoda Farm area, he was slapped with one year jail term and a fine of Rs 5000. Earlier, the actor had secured permission from a trial court on April 16. Salman is an accused in this case along with co-actors Saif Ali, Tabbu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre for killing two black bucks in Kankani village under the Luni police station on October 1, 1998. A case under the Arms Act is also pending before the court against the actor.
