Justice Bhalla sworn in as Rajasthan HC Chief Justice

Mr Justice Jagdish Bhalla assumed office as Chief Justice in the Rajasthan High Court today.

Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh administered the oath of the office to Justice Bhalla at a brief ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan here.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Leader of the Opposition Vasundhara Raje, Rajasthan High Court acting Chief Justice R C Gandhi and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

The post of Chief Justice was lying vacant for a couple of months following Justice Deepak Verma’s elevation as a Judge in the Supreme Court.
