The designated court, conducting the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks trial, issued summons to three National Security Guard (NSG) commandos, who were part of a team that carried out an operation to flush out Pakistani terrorists from Hotel Taj, Oberoi and Nariman House, to appear as witnesses in the case on November 9.

Judge M L Tahilyani, presiding over the trial, said the summons should be sent through Inspector General of NSG in New Delhi to Commondos, Ramesh Kumar Sharma, Anil Jhakhad and Major Ravindra Prasant by fax or courier.

Earlier, the court had issued summons to Mr Sharma, directing him to appear in the court. However, he could not come due to unsound health conditions.

After 60-hours of battle, the NSG commandos freed these places by gunning down the terrorists.

In first session of trial, Special Public Prosecutor Ujwal Nikam had examined two witnesses including Mr Prakash Shukla, the Chief Information officer of Taj Group of hotels. Mr Shukla had handed over the CD of footage of Close Circuit television cameras of the Hotel to the investigating agency.

Another witness was Assistant Nodel officer of Vodafone, who had handed over the details of the mobiles phones recovered from the spot by the investigating agencies.
