 The Tamil Nadu State government has issued orders for the constitution of District Court No.II “as a special case” at Kancheepuram with original jurisdiction over the four taluks of Kancheepuram, Uthiramerur, Sriperumbudur and Cheyur on the 4th of Dewcember;after a long battle of the Knchipuram Bar Members by having a year long protets and rallies and fasting under the Presidentship of Abdul Hakim and T.C.varadarajan Head of Action comittee.

Eight courts, besides the Principal District Court, are functioning at Chengalpattu and six courts, including the FTC are functioning at Kancheepuram.And the FTC is to be shifted out elsewhere

A total of 11 staff members, including a District Judge in the cadre of Additional District Judge, have been sanctioned for the new court for a period of one year.

The Lawyers of KAnchipuram BAR Association celebrated  and thanked the State government for the gesture .
