The Lok Sabha will discuss the Liberhan Commission report and Action Taken on it on Monday and Tuesday.

Announcing this in the House, Speaker Meira Kumar said the discussion will be held under Rule 193 (which does not entail voting).

Earlier, the Business Advisory Committee had decided that the discussion would be held on 9th and 10 December but it has been advanced by two days as the Hindi version of the report was tabled in the House on Thursday, she said.

In view of this, a discussion on Naxalism and Maoist violence, slated for Monday, has been postponed, Kumar said.

The debate on the report, tabled in Parliament on 24th November, was to be held on December one but it was postponed after several members protested that the Hindi version was not available to them.

Accordingly, Home Minister P Chidambaram tabled the Hindi version of the report as well as the ATR in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Revati Raman Singh (SP) said many Hindi-knowing members still had not got the Hindi version of the report. He was joined by Mangni Lal Mandal of JD-U.

On this, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal promised to make these available.
