Former President Pranab Mukherjee passed away at the age of 84

Mr Pranabh Mukherjee was aged 84 who was suffering from a lung infection and was earlier operated for a brain clot.

He was the 13th President of India from 2012 to 2017 and became one of India's longest-serving parliamentarians and had served a number of positions in the government. He was rated one of the best five Finance Ministers of the world in 1984. 

Mr Mukherjee had also served various international positions like the Board of Governors of IMF, World Bank, Asian Development, etc.
