Madras High Court directed the Director of Legal Studies (DLS) to ensure that there was proper standards of teaching and holding of classes in the Dr Ambedkar Government Law College here for M L Degree course. Disposing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition filed by Advocate G Krishnanmurthy, who is also an ML student, the first bench comprising Chief Justice A K Ganguly and Justice K Chandru, directed the Vice-Chancellor of Dr Ambedkar Law University to depute a team of officials to assess the standard of teaching and overall condition for the M L course. In his PIL, Dr Krishnamurthy sought proper management and conduct of the course by the authorities. He prayed the court for a direction to the authorities to conduct the classes as per the rules and regulations of the University, before conducting examinations.
