Mumbai:
Another PIL has been filed against suspended Congress leader Narayan Rane, seeking that he disclose information on his allegation in the wake of Mumbai attacks, that some politicians were in touch with the terrorists.
Rane, incensed on being denied the Chief Ministers post following Vilasrao Deshmukhs resignation, had alleged that terrorists were getting "logistical" support from politicians. He, however, had not revealed any names.
Purushottam Barde, Solapur district president of Shiv Sena, today filed PIL in the Bombay High Court, saying that court should direct Rane to reveal more information regarding this.
Also, action should be taken against Rane if the information proved to be false, PIL says.
The litigation also demanded the court to ask Rane to substantiate his another allegation that former chief minister
Vilasrao Deshmukh had "links" with fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahims men.
Earlier Dr Avisha Kulkarni, a social activist, had filed PIL with identical demands following Ranes allegations. Both PILs might come up for hearing tomorrow.
Rane was suspended on December 6 by Congress party for his outburst against the top leadership after he lost the race for the Chief Ministers post to Ashok Chavan.
