On the contrary, system of running the courts in morning session in may , june should be stopped.this system is almost similar to vacation. In addition, evening courts should be established.

In Fast Track Courts, during summer vacation too, they are hearing trials based on the consent of both the parties. But they can not pass Judgment in the same. In my opinion, for Indian Judicial system, two weeks of vacation ( last week of May and First week of June) is sufficient.

Courts are like any other office which should not be not closed any time during the year except festivals and national holidays, particularly when there is so much backlog of cases. Why not have a system of fixed pay and variable pay for judges depending on number of cases handled and disposed off. Summer vacation holiday is British legacy as judges needed to go to UK during this time.
