Dowry Prohibition Act as well as Domestic Violence Act, both are passed in such a way that there is no room left for an innocent man ! SC has rightly said "it is legal terrorism.

I am personally of the views that the provisions of the Dowry Prohibition Act, Domestic Violence Act,etc. are best used for academic use in our country and are not at all effectively enforced with the result that rampant misuse of the provisions are easily encouraged.

Dowry Prohibition Act as well as the Domestic Violence Act were used by the wife to harass their husband and her in-laws for their demands. As the offences falls under non-bailable offence, the accused were not able to escape from the hard hands of Police, which results in grabbing of money in a large scale.
