so far no such government strictly not yet taken up such actions to eradicate the prostitution in India. Now the situation reached skylevel in india .At this juncture there is no such alternative step to the Government to legalise with having licencing to those notified prostitute & given them right to live in the society. That;s all .

Dear Mr. V G Rao Not touching the morals of the issue, I think things will happen just opposite to what you have stated. When under fear of law and done as a indiscreet venture youth will not have choice to choose the good apple from the lot - if legalized, they definately have better chances of not contacting AIDS under guilty (legally)free atmosphere. What do you say?

If it is legalized, the younger generation of the nation around 16 to 23 years old boys and girls will be influenced through, and may come in to contact with several communicable diseases, and deadly virus AIDS, so it is duty on the part of judiciary, and govt to protect younger generations from the clutches of the deadly diseases, in my opinion the Hon'ble SC has taken monopoly decision, which is not good sign for the developing country like India, becoz it encourages younger generation to be addicted.

It should never be legalized because Govt. cann't curb it, rather govt must be punished/penalised. This is inefficiency of the govt. Also govt. must compensate victims of the trafficking.

It has been legalised in many countries.Atleast after its legalised the prostitutes who are forced and harassed and not paid enough by pimps and touts and also abused by police will have a platform to live a better life as compared to the hell they are living in right now.

An act or omission which is otherwise made illegal by laws can not be legal just because the government is not able to curb it. There are so many crimes happening; the crime rate is increasing everyday. The government fails to bring down the crime rate. Prostitution is no exception to this. In fact it shall not be just treated as a mere crime, but shall be looked at with a social concern. We shall treat the factors probing to that issue and the impacts of legalising the same. These we can see that the rate of AIDS and HIV +ve infected perons is cuming down because of the efforts from various ends. Now, if prostitution is legalised then it makes no sense. In fact it is the duty of the governemtn to see to protect health and safety of people. Its a directive principle recognised under Indian Consitution. Even prostitution is made online based (known from sting operation made by a known TV channel), which is spoiling youth. This will spoil tomorrows citizens of India and their health and their future. A women is not a toy for sale in the showroom to legalise the sale of women under the name of prostitution. Women today have been exploited for variuos promiscuous desires of men. Legalising prostitution is nothing but encoraging such promiscuous nature. They are so means to live. A girl not matured enough may lead her life to a means likewise just for the sake of keeping herself alive; however, it may cause more problems to het life and health. The better solution to this can be creating an awareness about the probelms: social and healthwise; and then the government shall provide alternative means for their livelihood. People living in this field of prostitution shall understand one thing that by encashing promiscuous desires of others will cause a threat to moral values inbibed in nature. This will cause so many problems to one's health. Lets have and give a happy, safe and descent lifestyle to oursleves and our next generations. One can lead such a life by being a koolie also. We nees money for roti, kapda and makhan. Please do not go for unmean luxuries.

Yes but the reason here is to give dignity who are already into profession by no choice. However prostitution shuld not be looked upon as a profession by the one who are not into this flesh trade for the heck of easy n good money. The sole objective is to avoid abduction of innocent childrens who are dragged in to this business for no fault of theirs.Probably this will help frustrated mortal to ease of their feelings and thereby innocent ones could be from such heinous acts.

Prostitution is an age-old profession. If it's not curbed, can it be legalised? It's a wrong reason mooted by the SC unfortunately. For instance, even donations in educational institutions; and recent selling of 1,500 application forms in Chinmaya Vidyalaya (a Convent in Chetpet, Chennai) for a mere 150 seats @ Rs.200 (totally collected Rs.3,00,000) also is not curbed by the Government and like these several illegal and unfair events are happening in our daily life which go unnoticed in the eyes of the Government. They all may be legalised in that case. The Government is at its best become enriched only by collecting taxes, levies. The government officials will increase their personal incomes by shielding the wrong doers. The government has no botheration at all.

Govt. should take very accurate step in this regard and provide them almost all rights with dignity
