We must remember that "Knowledge (or information) is power" and one who is well informed has an edge over the ignorant. In democracy, when a common man can know what is happening in the public offices, he can bring irregularities and illegalities to the notice of general public. This builds public pressure by making public opinion against wrongdoers. In recent times, public opinion has played a major role in changing some major decisions. Transparency in governance is bound to play a major role in eradication of corruption.

RTI is really a very good legal instrument to prevent corruption as because The definition of thw Word 'Information' includes a vast area under RTI Act,2005.But we will not achieve this goal unless and until every common man whether,literate,semi-literate or illiterate, come to about their right under RTI Act.So,lets take a concrete step in this respect.I and our NGO is ready to extend our hand to spread RTI awareness.

Nothin can stop corruption in the Govt., offices, it is better to legalise. Everyday we read in the news paper regarding lokayukt raids on the govt., officials, but corruption is still on.

It all depends on situation, like who is mighty, whether those who is seeking Information or the authority providing it. Since to a common ordinary person, it is a risky tool. But At least we have a tool in our hand.
