The efficiancy of a Judge wittl not vanish by 62 if it is vanishing in the case of SC Judges. The work load, the appreciation, the way of thinking etc are almost same. So why giving this 62 old folks to Tribukalxs and Enquiry Commisions. The age of all the criminal and civil presiding officers, judges both of HC and SC must be same. K.C. Suresh, Advocate

After retiring at the age of 62 the High Court Justices serve as Arbitrators or are appointed to head Commissions. Hence, an increase of 3 yars to make it 65 will give the High Court Justices more time to serve. 65 is ideal age to retire. The higher Judiciary needs experience more than youth, it is not a childs play to be a High court Justice. The age of 65 is best, 62 is too less as these Hon'ble Justices are used to Aristrocatic lives.

old judges are not techno savvy, even they are against the use of science and technology, instead of increasing age limit, all those not having knowledge of new technology should be asked to go under training.

In my point of view after the age of 60 mental power and working capacity of the person goes down they can appoint as a consultant but not appoint as a decision maker.

No need to increase the age limit. nowadays white collar crimes and cyber crimes emerges as challenging factor to face. More than than economic offences at its high time. Old judges are not able to understand these thing even if Advocate try to clarify. They still rely on papers and notices.

Just because increasing the retirement age of High Court judges will require a constitutional amendment which needs two-third majority in both Houses of Parliament, raising the retirement age of judges seems ridiculous. Let there be inflow of young and able judges into the system. I suppose 62 years is enough time to serve as a judge.
