Is there any performance evaluation system of MP's in place in Indian system?whether there is any liability in law for nonperformance?otherwise this question is irrelevant at all at this stage to give rise to any specific issue as such.

The responsibility must be fixed on MPs but they don't do. If responsibility is fixed the MPs will not demand for hike in their salary. For other good things the MPs debate and finally make the bill unpassed. Where as for their salary hike no debate no walk outs. That is the democracy prevails in our beloved nation

it is to be noted that most of our MPs are already millionaires. despite that our politicians are a big failure. by raising their respective salaries these politicians have just added more money to their kitty. politics is no more a social service, it has become a business rather a tool to mint money from everything.

Politician have lost their credibility. In election time, they talk about "Aam Aadmi" but once they get elected they forget the common man.

Increase in salary will not make them more responsible as most of the MPs don have the attitude to help the public though their salary is paid from public's money.

There is no co-relation between salary and responsibility in politics.

Plz. read "If they some good then any salary is justified, but people should feel that they r being benefited." as "If they do some good to this country then any salary is justified, but people must feel that they r being benefited."

Simply increase in salary of the MPs will not make them more responsible towards the public. It is an attitude or inner urge, which compels a person to serve his/her nation. If they some good then any salary is justified, but people should feel that they r being benefited.
