when the appointments to the Election Commission are politically influenced then how can we expect strict enforcement of the Election related laws. Not only this on the district level too, the administration often fails to perform its duty due to political affiliations.

After Shree. Seshan the laws are handled by the election commission in a moderate strictness. If there is any lapses that because of the high handedness of the political bosses

Voting in India is always on the wishes of voters. there is no strict rules to caste vote. However voting should be mandatory. Even there should be 'no vote' option in voting machine in case any voter does not want to caste his vote, where no favourable candidate.

As those who have to force the law are always under the tremondus pressure of legislature. Otherwise after the 50 years of Independence Day and Republic Day Criminals would not be standing in election on the ticket of national party, regional party or as a Independant.
