Continous water leakage from upper flat

Hello Sir,

I stay in A.P. housing Board, Kukatpally, Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh. We reside in LIGH flats, where a total of 12flats make one building.

From the last three months there is some continous water leakage problem from the flat that was above our flat and It created problem in our hall and bathroom's roof and at walls. Roof, beam and pillars are almost stinking since then and we are unable to reside in. We have been requesting them since then but they are silent. They say they wont repair and are warning us to do whatever we want, sometimes they use worse language and abuse in other means.

We have tried many a times to approach them for mutual understanding but every effort went in vein.

Please advice.

Yours Truly,

PRAVEENA

Generally builder having such responsibilities 6 months or 1 year depends upon the building agreement. After stipulation period if any problem occures he may give suggestions to recrify.

Dear Sir,

Since we reside in APHB houses that are built by the Government of A.P. and are been allotted to individuals after paying the respective instalments. So there is no agreement or such thing we all paid the amount and done the registration from APHB.

We are residing in the same flat from last 35years and never we faced such issues.

Since we both are owners of the respective flats even though we approached police they ask us to go for mutual understanding which the other side is refusing.

Is there any chance like any legal or some other source where they will come down and  can make them rectify the issue. This is not at all a finance issue for them becz it will cost low and moreover they are sound financially.

Just becuase my parents are old they are not taking it seriously and inturn asking them to shut their mouth and face the issue.

Sir, i am also not aware whether this can be proceeded legally but we are unable to sit even in the house when it rains it stinks more.

Sir, I sincerely request you pls suggest me how can i solve this issue,

You can file a petition in consumer courts which are located near Nampally with all evidences of leakages like photographs, etc.,
