Dda flat registration and property settlement

My Grandfather purchased a DDA flat from an allottee in 1986 right after my birth. He has 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters. One is my DAD. In 2010, it was decided to divide the property and everyone was asked if they want any share. My aunts denied any share and hence it was decided that out of the two sons one will live in the flat and will become the new owner and the other will leave after getting half the amount of the Flat. So it was decided that the two sons will have the share of the property. My father is unemployed and has no income. Hence my father sold a DDA flat he brought so that we can pay my uncle his share. We are living on the income earned by selling the flat only. I'm unemployed too. But since then, my father has not got the flat converted into his name.  Since the Flat is not Freehold but we have the General Power of Attorney in the name of my Grandfather, we are confused how to get it converted. I need to know the procedure as per the law of what to do now and will there be any Tax issue? Please help

you will need to get the flat mutated in your father name at DDA where you will submi relinquishment deeds from your fathers sisters and his brother. the drafts of these documents are available on the DDA website under mutation.
