Forgery in registration

I am a NRI. the land in my name has been registered to another person using my forgery finger print and photo in the title deed and registered in the sub registrar's office. How can I cancell the title deed and restore the property to my name. what will be the consequences?

Dear Querist,

In Addition to your right to prosecute the forgerers for making false documents/cheating etc under Sections 463/420 etc. in addition to the above it is also an offence under section 82 of the registration act. 

On the civil side - you can file a suit for declaration - asking the court to declare the title deeds as null and void being fraudulent, and other necessary directions.
