Grand daughter's right on property inherited by grand father

Dear Sir,

My father in law as Class I Legal heir inherited some agricultural property on demise of his father. Same has since been sold by him.

Does my two daughters have any right and lien on the inherited property or on the proceeds of the sale or the manner in which the sale proceeds are utilized by their grand father.

dear querist ,

if father in law in your query is meant for your wife's father then your daughters dnt have directly any right over the property however your wife being a daughter have equal share in the fathers property i.e ancessostral one so you can challenege that sale deed.feel free to call for detailed advise.

Dear Anish,

Thanks for the update.

Another small query I have, is what is the share of the ancestarl property or its sale proceed that my wife is legally entitled to.

Considering that they are three sisters and mother also is alive.
