Hi - We have a rent agreement (along with bank lease) with landlord, having mentioned that with notice of 1 month we can leave the rented house. Security deposited was amounting Rs 30,000 and rent agreement was for 11 months. Every month bank was paying rent to landlord.
We left that rented house after 9 month and gave landlord notice of 2 months before leaving. Landlord told us that since he is having some issues he will return our security deposit in installment. Its 8 months now - he has returned only Rs 20,000. And he is now telling us that he will not pay remaining Rs 10,000/.
How can we legally proceed in this case? Can we get remaining 10,000 back from the landlord?
