Minimum wages - for pf

Dear Sir,

Our Branch at Khushkhera ;Rajasthan was deputed to Greater Noida ; U.P. to execute a service job. All members used were employees having PF& ESI Registered.

After work completion, while submission of bills to customer, we submitted PF Depository details also (Mandatory reqm.)

Customer raised objection stating - Wages of employed members below U.P Minimum Wages act.

My Question - Should we be complying to every STATES's MINIMUM Wages ACT , for PF Compliance. (Our employees work on pan india basis) ???

Every state have separate MINIMUM wages and you can not pay below that wages. If you pay then the workers may go industrial tribunal and same can be recovery from you with interest.

Dear Sir,

Could you please clarify "WHAT ALL GETS INCLUDED IN THE MINIMUM WAGES" catagory??

As per act, whatever shown in wages slip & paid as salary in bank is taken as wages and can be compared against MINIMUM WAGES criteris.

But, our customer insists that ONLY - BASIC + DA in the salary / wages sheet will be considered against MINIMUM WAGES criteris.

Please confirm which break-up is correct??
