Purchase of property

Dear Friends,

Greetings of the day !!

This is Tushar Parmar from Jamnagar, Gujarat.

We have purchased a property from our neighbour. Earlier, property was belonging to our neighbour. Subsequently, due to family partition, the property were sold and the receipts were distributed among 4 brothers. Subsequently, 2 brothers purchased the same property and they sold half of the property to us.

Now, I would like to know the next process to be done as we do not want to end up with any legal disputes subsequently.

Seeking the expert guidance please.

Let me explain with the examples.

Property X belonged to Family A of 4 (P, Q R S) brothers. Property X sold by Family A to Mr. Z. and amount received by Family A was distributed among 4 brothers.

After few months P & S bought the Property X from Mr. Z. Now, We purchased the half of the property X from P & S.

Our advocate is saying that you just pay some money and we will sort out the matter where I refused just to give money blindly. We asked the process and time required. Also, we asked that we do not want any hazzle afterwards. So, the advocate has not yet turned up with the firm decision. The advocate is the same person who is dealing with the transactions of Family of A and subsequently for P & S.

So, I want to know what are the formalities which we need to complete in order to get the property on our name.

Sir, your reply / feedback will assist us preventing any future hazzles.
