We are tenants in service industrial estate in mumbai since 1964.Tha land is leased land, and the agreement between builder and land leaser expired in 1999 and not renewed by the land leaser.
Now the land owner says that they will be the authorised owners of the building, in such case
- Can they evict the tanents?
- Is there any provision under rent act, whereby the tenants pay 200 months rent to the new owner and form a co-operative socity? if yes, is this provision mandatory on the building owner?
