Service tax and income tax difference

Hi,

Service tax audit people are saying the difference between the Income tax and Service tax to be paid. I have seen in so many clients cases normally Income tax is on higher side than Service tax. How can we fill the gap.We are saying Income tax is accrual basis and the ST is receipt basis, but this augument has no weight after  the amendment in 2011. What is the position on the above subject matter
