If a party is allowed to seek amendment in the grounds of appeal or writ petition after its disposal, it can lead to abuse of process of law, and the parties would not let the proceedings come to an end. Accordingly, the Appellants were disallowed to add grounds in writ petition by way of amendment, after its disposal.

Before final disposal of writ petition you may file affidavit of addition information through your lawyer.

If the situation or information is developed after filling of writ and is relevant to decide the matter justly then you can submit an application to that extent court may grant the developments, but if you just want to amend the writ petition for adding something more which otherwise would have been mentioned at the filing of writ then it is up to court whether to grant it or not.
